WELCOME TO THE MONASTERY

WELCOME TO THE MONASTERY

Saint Joseph Monastery is a Cistercian monastery, a religious community of Roman Catholic men who are vowed to a life of constant conversion and witness to the Gospel according to the Rule of Saint Benedict and Constitutions of the Cistercian Congregation of the Holy Family.
Seven times each day, the monks pray and work (Ora et Labora).  The Monastery is a sacred place where every day ordinary people can come away from their busy and stressful life to renew and refresh their body and spirit.

  2. I wanted to thank you for that beautuful vision I had on a sad night for me. I live in Barstow and my husband has been in rehab for over a month. Feeling sad I was driving home from Lucerne Valley when:
A light in the distance caught my eye....
The beautiful, familiar form began to define itself as I neared. Father God you never leave nor forsake us....just what I needed.
Had just left my beloved and was gravely missing him. Thanks for the reminder Lord! All things in your precious timing!

  3. I am just a normal guy that believes that there is definitely a creator but when a religion has one human BOW on knee in front of another human it makes me very sad at how lost and gullible humans are. Be kind, be humble, and love one another as you want to be loved. THATS IT. If I'm wrong then getting it correct is not for me.
